I have worked in Buying and Merchandising for a variety of different companies and industries the last 15 years managing up to $75 million in sales, 800 to 1000 skus and 1 million units sold annually.
What I love about the role is there is no typical day and every day can be completely different. There are so many groups of people a Buyer gets to work with internally as well as externally which I also love. I have yet to come across another type of position where it involves working with but not limited to: Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing, offshore factories, Planning, Logistics.
Currently I am looking for a new role and interested in Merchandise Manager or Senior Buyer opportunities within the Beauty/Skin, Fashion or Homegoods/Home Decor industries.
Some of my proudest accomplishments include:
- Increased sales 38% for an electronics brand by launching products earlier, improving out of stock situations and providing sales reports to help with demand planning
- Increased vendor volume rebates 58% over 2 year span by reducing vendor base, maximizing volume to largest rebate vendors and renegotiating contracts
- Implemented process changes which helped reduce SLA’s for drop ship vendors by 2 days
- Created analysis to identify opportunities by brand, category and price point, resulted in up to 20% sales increase across multiple programs and categories.
Inquiries for full time roles are welcome as are inquiries for consultation work.
